After the visit of Saint Florent, charming marina overlooked by a 15th century citadel, the tour will take you in the hinterland of the seaside resort.

On nearly 500 hectares on the edge of the hills that encircle the village of Saint Florent, 36 cellars, mostly in organic agriculture or in transition, compose the AOP Patrimonio. Formerly called Conca d’oro, the Golden shell, it is now reputed for its fine wines, on the island and beyond.

Naturally, it is impossible to be in the finest wine-producing region of the island and not having a wine-tasting session!

Snow and ice were stored there before the invention of the refrigerator… Ice was brought down from Nivera to the town along mule tracks to supply hospitals, notables and the first cafés of the day.
